Dear Reader
The very thought that someone, such as yourself, made it this far down my blog post flatters me. I do hope that the amazing photos captured by the artists credited please you nearly as much as they do me. As I often do, I have included a link to twitch to ROGUE NEWS TV. The link will work for a time, and then it will not. That’s how TWITCH does things.
Sales-Tax Exemptions for Precious Metals at the State Level
Stefan Gleason, this links to a youtube video where the state-level public policy gains lead to gold and silver becoming more of a publicly accepted currency via the Sound Money Defense League – with recent progress & victory in Mississippi. I differ with Stefan in that I am of the opinion that politics and money are so inextricably bound that one should vote with one’s dollars by finding ways to spend precious metals, or, even BTC for that matter. He seems to focus on the impracticality. However, there are times when a boycott can actually serve one’s bottom line as well as hasten the collapse of an unjust system.
These days, I am listening to, The Psychology of Totalitarianism, by Mattias Desmet. It would probably be even better to read the e-book, or traditional book. However, if you’re like me and do not have much energy at the end of the day, this is a good listen; narrated by Dan Crue on Audible. One major theme seems to be that our modern convenience comes at a price (technology lives on credit) as our existence is reduced to a frenetic attempt to manage anxiety brought about by a loss of meaning in our lives. The mechanistic living arrangement drains our humanity (not to mention the externalities such as pollution).
Modern societies’ turn to totalitarianism is an inevitable outcome, as the natural rhythms of the bygone era and man’s connection to nature, are removed from daily life, and we forget the necessity of our bodily and personal connection, necessary as it is to maintain our collective humanity. (The horrors of Nazi Germany come to mind.) Finally, even the ‘science’ turns slipshod. In a word, it has become FAKE.
Then there is the very dangerous concentration of power that seems to be another inevitability of modernity. One example, they don’t call it a Central Bank for nothing; think CBDCs!
On a side note, I have provided links to sources with info regarding crypto currency. Again, nothing on this website is, or should be taken to be, investment advice. Caveat emptor. Caveat investor. And, a fool and his money…you know the rest.
