SUMMARY:
The war in Ukraine, having smoldered for nearly a year now as the anniversary of the Special Military Operation draws near, and now that it has become clear that more aggression on the part of the Russian military is necessary to make Ukraine secure; secure as a territory bordering Russia; and, as an afterthought, secure for the globe with it’s regime removed, is about to get more serious by orders of magnitude. Much like an earthquake with shock wave emanating outward from a central point, the damage and destruction will not be confined to this one geographical area, but will rock the very foundations of the West, it’s institutions, currency, economy, and businesses.
But it will not be merely abstractions, and intangibles that are all but swept aside. Real people, real famine, real hunger, and the unrelenting winter of the unavailability of energy, government services, and the new commonplace of violence will clear the way for what comes next. It’s the – what is coming next – that should be of a collective worry.
But it is also an opportunity to prepare. To say that ‘business-as-usual’ is drawing to an end is an understatement. On the bright side, the festering problems with society, the tyranny of the forever-fixed election, may end like so much that is unhealthy when exposed to oxygen and sunlight. This bright-side prediction is predicated on an outcome without nuclear winter.
Just look at who’s in the Oval Office…and, who may end up in the Oval Office subsequent to Joe’s removal or death. This electoral fact makes the pessimistic outcome more likely. But then again, who knows; we may dodge the worst of the bullets yet.
As it had been often said: Stolen elections have devastating consequences. I would add: broken elections will have fatal consequences.
As it stands today, we are hung by a thread.
