WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) issued the following statement following President Biden’s order on vaccine mandates for small businesses:
“Joe Biden is determined to destroy Main Street America and strip every American of their individual liberties. Today’s announcement creating a federal vaccine mandate under the guise of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirement is just another step in his authoritarian power grab. I am personally vaccinated, it was my individual choice and what I determined to be best for me and my family. Despite my decision, every individual needs to make his or her own choice regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Forcing the vaccine on the American people is both illegal, and demonstrates an egregious example of executive overreach.
At a time when small businesses are just beginning to recover from forced government closures over the last year and half, the President is determined to destroy any hope they have remaining. I have been a small business owner for over 50 years, and I know full and well that small business owners like me will be presented a daunting ultimatum in the coming days in order to comply, if they so choose, with the President’s illegal order. In a few short weeks Joe Biden has awoken the Taliban and choked out American freedom. He is attempting to become a dictator. We should not be surprised by Biden’s proposed socialist takeover, he’s the most radical, un-American President in our Nation’s history. He is unfit to lead, and has no place in the White House. Joe Biden should be removed from office.”
