not dealing with consequences has consequences
In this blog post I provide some links relating to the Restrict Act introduced in the 118th U.S. Congress. Some may refer to this act as the tiktok Bill, or Joe Biden’s Bill. It will have massive scope, and represents yet another downward step into totalitarianism, but you are probably tired of hearing that word.
The legislation was introduced in the Senate by Sen. Mark Warner (D–Va.).
About the RESTRICT Act, A.K.A. (S. 686): It should be called: the Control of Communications Technology Act. It will allow the Secretary of Commerce to decide what social platforms are a threat (the ones not doing the White House’s bidding.) And there is even more: a laundry list of sorts, hidden in the details, of how the on-ramps and off-ramps to real information will be demolished. It is convenient how a global internet is necessarily, at some juncture, foreign. And now all you have to do is imagine the threat.
We can hardly wait! Annoyed by websites that offer news on the devastating effects of so-called mRNA vaccines? – well they’re gone! Consider it done, Mein Führer!
Would the RESTRICT Act—a.k.a. the TikTok ban bill—criminalize the use of VPNs? – link – Well, does Joe consider you a foreign threat, or, someone associated with a foreign entity? With the bill’s broad language, YES! Let’s face it.
It has been posted on reddit by: u/Hrmbee that: “The RESTRICT Act isn’t about banning TikTok—it’s designed to force a sale | The U.S. doesn’t want to ban TikTok, it wants to own it.” and that motivation would be consistent with the modus operandi of Joe Biden, the former senator, from the state of Delaware. Agreeing with this reddit post may be classic confirmation bias on my part.
However…
If you’ve read this far you probably already had an instinctual inkling about how bad this bill will be. There is a senator who pointed out that this bill would amount to, among other unconstitutional things, a bill of attainder (that’s our Joe all over again.)
Also, defining exactly what a foreign threat is, is open to interpretation, i.e an unelected official in the deep state will decide, not you. True, the voting machines in the U.S. are a highly successful foreign threat, this has been demonstrated for those with eyes to see, and ears to hear. But the machines are operating just fine, thank you very much.
Unfortunately, it is the threats to the current regime (these days everything is foreign if you want it to be) that get the attention of the administration, 24/7. That, and Ukraine, that’s all there is. If it’s not in Ukraine, it doesn’t exist.
And, the devil is in the details. Much like a contract that will have unintended, unforeseeable and profound consequences, one must think before signing. Unfortunately, Joe knows how to profit from hysteria, China-induced, or otherwise. Joe would sign this legislation into law yesterday if he had his time machine. (We all know it’s a body-double or a deep-fake, so much is fake about the current Oval Office.)
This latest proposed legislation in my opinion represents the latest example of the: consequences of not dealing with consequences has consequences – meaning: until we fix the election of 2020, nothing will ever be ‘fixed‘ – whereby an illegitimately installed president continues to accrue more and more power into his own cabinet.
Translation: the rule of law means nothing, and, we have a country of men.
But then again, this is just my opinion.
