Ode to the sky, beautiful, deadly. Behold the beauty, life’s upper limit.
However, the altitude has been known to be deadly. Double whammy; insufficient oxygen combines with hubris.
Poison cocktail soup of life…and death. One simply cannot breathe. The breath of life, not for thee.
Someplace. We simply cannot grieve. Cannot be there surrounded by our total loss.
Not to be.
We cannot live there. The wonder of flight has its limit as well, namely the destination,
without the good workings of biology. Home is a ship that sinks.
No more It’s a Wonderful Life. The method’s losing the stuff of life, the wonder in Stewart’s eyes.
Our own Chernobyl, our gift to ourselves, to be opened at our peril. Our own designs fly forth.
There really are gods, but the are the dark sort. You see them in the masterpieces to be removed by the politically correct, the empty walls of the museums mutely scream in terror.
Pandora’s box, opened long ago, hastily forgotten, moldering in what’s left of a forest, or the
Bric-à-brac of past Americana.
Instead we gaze at the sky in transfixed wonder. Ignore what’s at your feet.
The economy far from Main Street, U.S.A., far from the dainty shops, the bicycles of children parked hither and yon, the sidewalks delivering their errands, the occasional Gothic chapel with its steeple rising above the treetops. The running river forgotten. Trains to run on time. The timeless is for yesterday.
Death! Good for your wallet. Just ask the residents of East Palestine, Ohio, Where life ran in spades.

High-flying stocks crash. The sky’s the limit. Timing to be guessed. We fly to our destination, destiny.
Remember, there’s this little thing called bankruptcy. Try to avoid investing your hard-earned money in a time bomb.
There will not be a rise from the ashes after the very hard landing, the combination of Bidenomics and the fundament of physics. No legend of the Phoenix after gravity takes its remorseless toll. NOTE 2

A Train Derails in Paulsboro, N.J., Releasing 23,000 Gallons of Toxic Vinyl Chloride Gas
UPDATED DEC. 17, 2012 — Recovery operations are now complete for the derailed train cars carrying vinyl chloride. On Nov. 30, 2012, a train transporting the chemical vinyl chloride derailed while crossing a bridge that collapsed over Mantua Creek, in Paulsboro, N.J., near Philadelphia. Four rail cars fell into the creek, breaching one tank and releasing approximately 23,000 gallons of vinyl chloride. Local, state, and federal emergency personnel responded on scene. A voluntary evacuation zone was established for the area, and nearby schools were ordered to immediately take shelter and seal off their buildings.
Vinyl chloride, which is used to make plastics, adhesives, and other chemicals, is a toxic gas. During this accident, most of the chemical was released directly to the air, and response teams worked to determine how much might have dissolved in the creek’s waters, which feed into the Delaware River. U.S. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay contacted NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) and requested scientific support for this environmental and public health threat.
