Welcome to my page illustrating the many aspects of our collective Global Warming problem and what I hope to be helpful information regarding alternative energy and carbon-footprint reducing ideas.

We Humans have invented our own new geologic epoch called the Anthropocene. The Himalayan glaciers are melting. The Ocean’s waters are rising. And the acidity of the water is increasing. There is a mass extinction occurring now referred to as “The Great Die-Off.”

The delicate balance which moderated the weather of our planet is breaking down.

Marcia Bjornerud: Timefulness, Geology for Saving the World
Ed Mays
Published on Oct 4, 2018

“As climate change rapidly accelerates into what long time Pirate TV guest, Dahr Jamail recently called the “end game”, the amount of ignorance of this fact is nothing short of remarkable. This is not only testament to the power of propaganda generated by the richest and most powerful corporations in human history but of the dumbing down and general scientific illiteracy of the US public. Few people have any idea that the knowledge that enables scientists to generate the computer models that predict what is happening to the climate now comes from the study of mass extinction events that happened in Earth’s ancient past. This knowledge comes from geology– mostly the study of ice cores, rock cores, and sediment layers. This is not taught in schools unless you specifically take a geology class although it should be. It is also not something you are likely to encounter on your corporate brainwash tube.

Few of us have any conception of the enormous timescales of our planet’s long history. Geology professor and Fulbright Scholar Marcia Bjornerud outlines the ways in which our everyday lives are shaped by processes that vastly predate us—and in turn, how our habits will have consequences that will outlast us by generations. With insight from her book Timefulness: How Thinking Like a Geologist Can Help Save the World she reveals how knowing the rhythms of Earth’s deep past and conceiving of time as a geologist can give us the perspective we need for creating a more sustainable future. Join Bjornerud for a literal history of the world, and a treatise for building a more time-literate and ecologically considerate society.

“Directly from Canada on a 45 min. Skype lecture, activist and researcher Dana Durnford will explain how the Fukushima Nuclear accident has affected all life in the Pacific Ocean and how it continues to do so.

Dana Durnford currently lives in Canada and calls himself a Nuclear Proctologist. He has been studying the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for over 25 years. He has been the skipper and lead diver on over a dozen commercial diving vessels and has done over 14,000 commercial deep-sea diving hours.

For the past 8 years, he has been researching nuclear and depleted uranium in military conflicts. Dana Durnford is an activist and researcher on the Fukushima impact on the Canadian pacific coastline.

From 2014 to 2015, he spent 260 days exploring and documenting the British Columbia tidal pools in Canada, covering over 15,000 miles boat. What he discovered was that insects, birds, mammals and marine life along the British Columbia Coast are being threatened with extinction.

Dana Durnford has a live show on YouTube 6 days a week, which aims to educate people worldwide and to use knowledge and compassion to empower them.

Fukushima: Do Not Panic – You Will All Die – Cesium 137

“Steven Starr is a medical laboratory technician [MT ( ASCP) ] , scientific program director of the clinical laboratory at the University of Columbia, Missouri. He obtained his degree at the School of Health Professions in 1985 and has worked in many hospitals for 27 years.

Mr Starr is a member of Physicians for Social reponsibility , and the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. His writings are published by several organizations, including the Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, and has worked with several foreign governments and the UN to the elimination of nuclear weapons. He is also an expert in the field of environmental consequences of war and nuclear weapons.

In this video, he exposes us to the deleterious properties of the radioactive materials generated by nuclear accident , especially the infamous cesium 137, which has significantly contaminated Japan after the Fukushima catastrophe . This is the deadly poisons at the atomic or molecular level. Their activity is millions of times greater than that of some natural isotopes in the environment such as potassium 40. As compare a stick of dynamite in an atomic bomb !

The second point is data contamination official of Japan, which do not correspond to some independent scientific studies , and certainly not to the reality of the situation on the ground . It is between 10,000 to 20,000 square kilometers today have a radioactivity greater than the maximum previously authorized 1 millisievert per year dose. It then discusses the dangers induced by multiplying by 20 the permitted level , and the controversial method used to calculate the biological effects of ionizing radiation , expressed in Sieverts .

Steven Starr then cites scientific research of Prof. Bandazhevsky , phenomena of bioaccumulation in ecosystems , increased fragility of children and especially girls to the effects of radioactivity, and overall poor health status of young people in our days in areas contaminated by the Chernobyl accident areas.

Video made at the symposium “The Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident” ( medical & environmental consequences of the nuclear accident at Fukushima ) organized by the Helen Caldicott Foundation 11 & 12 March 2013 in New York.

The last two hundred years have seen the greatest explosion of progress and wealth in the history of mankind, but the age of oil that fuelled this expansion is rapidly coming to an end. The depletion of fossil fuels is about to transform life as we know it, and do so much sooner than we think. “Arnie Gundersen, Chief Engineer of Fairewinds Associates gave an interesting presentation on the dangers of radiation at Sunrise Center in Corte Madera, California on November 23, 2015.

Have you wondered why people are still talking about Fukushima? Have you ever wondered what implications Fukushima has for California and for the Diablo Nuclear power plant? Because of the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the one that was caused by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, is not over and remains dangerous.

Three molten nuclear reactor cores are still missing and the radioactive contamination that this 300-ton mass of “corium” continues to generate and release shows no signs of abating, in fact is increasing.

Join us as Arnie Gundersen, a dedicated and informed expert, sits down to ‘unpack’ what happened in Fukushima, how it came to happen, what’s going on there now, and what we might still be able to do about it.

How does a hydrogen fuel cell work? / ¿Cómo funciona una pila de hidrógeno?

Ajusa Hydrogen Technologies. H2 and O2 (hydrogen and oxygen), are stable gases in normal conditions, but in the electrodes anode and cathode of a fuel cell, the presence of catalyst activate these fluids that initiates the chemical reaction at room temperature. So, in anode, hydrogen atoms in contact with catalyst, are split into electrons and protons, instantly. In cathode, protons, electrons and oxygen from air, when at the same time contact the catalyst, merge together into water molecules.
